2013 Special Event Weekend & Special Guest Performers

Of course EVERY day is special at the Maryland Renaissance Festival!  However, we have added a few special themes for certain weekends to add to the fun.  Also on this page we will list special entertainers who will perform for a very limited time. 

PLEASE NOTE: Listed below are selected highlights.  The Festival is open, running, and a jolly good time for all nine weekends between August 24th and October 20th!

This page will be updated throughout the winter and spring! Please check back for details on special events and special guests!

August 24th and 25th:   Children's Weekend.  All kids 11 and under will be admitted FREE!

Monday, September 2nd: Seniors Day.  On Labor Day Monday all seniors 62+ will be admitted FREE.

 September 7th & 8th: Pirate Weekend.  Ahoy, Matey! Tis pirate weekend.  Enjoy the music of The Pyrates Royale and more.  We encourage all to dress in their pirate best!

September 21st & 22nd: Scottish Celebration

October 5th & 6th:  Irish Celebration!

October 19th & 20th: Jousting Competition   While jousting takes place on every day of the Festival, on this special weekend we have knights from across the country join our Free Lancers jousting company in a special competition to determine who is the greatest knight in the land!
