Supernumeraries:
The Festival is theatre on a grand scale - imagine a cross between opera and an epic film. And just as those artistic and entertainment forms need many performers - we also need extras to bring history alive.
If you have an interest in performing, or just love the Festival and want to be a part of it - we need you to be a supernumerary, a member of our Company of St. Catherine.
We are looking for good-natured, responsible adults over the age of 18 to be a part of our village and Royal Court. Acting experience is not required. The Festival will provide all supernumeraries with costumes. Supernumeraries will:
- Be lords and ladies-in-waiting for our Royal Court.
- Be villagers who greet our patrons and give helpful information.
- Add color and fun to our events such as Musical merrymaking, The Human Chess Game, Royal Arrival, etc...
Compensation: Supernumeraries receive a first year honorarium of 250 dollars, and a rehearsal stipend of $125. You will receive complimentary tickets for your friends and families, along with a very enjoyable theatrical adventure.
Rehearsal Schedule: Rehearsals begin in July. Frequency of rehearsals depends on which events you do. Expect one to two rehearsals per week - more the week before Opening.
Performances: Saturdays, Sundays and Labor Day Monday from August 28th through October 24th. While we’d love to have you available all performance dates, we will extend some partial-run contracts if we can find people willing to split the performance dates.
